I’m Jack Newell. Many of you have met me, many of you have become friends. But for those of you that haven't crossed paths with me, I’ve worked in the motor trade for more than 13 years.
During that time, I’ve bought, sold, prepared and ridden a fairly ridiculous variety of motorcycles. I’ve seen immaculate examples, neglected ones, brilliant bikes nobody appreciates and supposedly desirable bikes I wouldn’t personally touch.
That experience taught me that selling motorcycles properly isn’t about having the biggest showroom or cramming as many bikes as possible onto the floor. It’s about knowing what you’re looking at, being honest about it and treating the person buying it with some respect.
That is why I opened Jack Newell Motorcycles.

I wanted to create the kind of dealership I would feel comfortable buying from myself.
I deliberately keep a relatively small selection of motorcycles. Every bike has to earn its place here, and I would rather have a handful I genuinely believe in than a showroom full of bikes bought simply to make the business look bigger.
Some arrive nearly perfect. Others require a little more love. Either way, I personally inspect them, decide what preparation they need and describe them as honestly as I can. If something has a mark, a quirk or a bit of history you should know about, I’ll tell you.
I’ll also give you my genuine opinion. That occasionally means admitting that one of my motorcycles may not be the right motorcycle for you. I would much rather help somebody make the right decision than pressure them into making a quick one.

Although motorcycle sales are at the centre of the business, my experience extends into detailing, general maintenance, modifications, clothing and equipment advice.
I’m happy to help whether you’re buying your first 125, returning to motorcycling after several years away, looking for something unusual or simply trying to work out what suits you.
You don’t need to know all the terminology or arrive pretending to be an expert. Ask questions, have a proper look at the bike and take your time.
Jack Newell Motorcycles isn’t a giant glass-fronted franchise, and it isn’t trying to be one.
It’s a small independent business at Moscow Garage, just outside Kilmarnock.
Visits are by appointment, which means I can make sure I’m available and give you the time and attention you deserve rather than disappearing halfway through a conversation.
The premises may be modest. The standards aren’t.
If you’d like to see a motorcycle, sell me yours or simply ask for some advice, call or message me. I’ll arrange a suitable time—and the kettle will be on.

Located just outside Kilmarnock, Ayrshire off the A77 or M77. Lovely scenic ride no matter if you're coming from Ayr or Glasgow.
